Tonalea Times
Greetings from the PrincipalSeptemeber Tonalea Times Newsletter (English) September Tonalea Times Newsletter (Spanish)
Each year taxpayers are given the opportunity to participate in an Arizona Tax Credit program to help Scottsdale Schools and reduce their state tax bill at the same time. However, it is really important for schools to share how these funds actually help the students.
At Tonalea, tax credit funds are used to directly benefit all students by providing opportunities for them to participate in programs and activities that are outside of the regular curriculum. We use the tax credit funds for a variety of extra curricular activities at Tonalea, including our after school Art Club, our after school Drum Club, and a host of field trips that students participate in throughout the year to support our curriculum. This means that when students are invited to perform at locations away from the school, or attend activities at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, the Desert Botanical Gardens, the Railroad Park, the Health World activities, etc., the tax credit funds are used to provide transportation and/or entrance fees for students to attend these specific events.
The activities listed above are only some of the wonderful opportunities we offer to our students to support and enhance their education. Without the tax credit funds being available to our school, these extra curricular activities would not be possible.
It is that time of year again when we are asking you to help us by contributing your tax credit donation to Tonalea Elementary School. The information below will provide you with more details about the outstanding opportunity to help our school. Thanks for supporting Tonalea!
